Being a leader takes courage, discipline, and determination. While a great leader can bring great success, it also comes at the cost of being judged and overwhelmed. The Bible speaks of so many wonderful leaders and how God blessed them for their work. There are many verses and Scriptures that God spoke to encourage men and women who choose to step up and lead. If you are striving to be a leader or if you need inspiration along the way, these Bible verses about leadership should help. Galatians 6:9
THE NEW MANAGEMENT
It has been a journey of 11 year with Fr. Carlos as the Father In Charge and the administrator. But his time came for him to go back to Mexico where he passed on the management to Fr. Jose Guadalupe Rea Martinez, The Father In Charge. He was the assistant Father In Charge and he is also The Deaf Chaplain in the Archdiocese of Nairobi. Christ The King Kibera Parish is now under the new umbrella of Pries, Fr Jose Guadalupe Rea Martinez. We welcome him as the Father In Charge of Christ The King Parish. We wish him all the best in his missionary journey of Priesthood. We are happy for him as the Parish Priest and the administrator.
As missionaries they are not stationed in one place but to move from one place to another, to make sure the word of God is spread to each and every corner of the world. Thus why we had to accept the fact that he has to go so as to serve people of God in another place. Well, it is for the Glory of God, so let it be done according to His will. Fr. Carlos we will miss you and always in our hearts for the best you were while living with us in Slums of Kibera.
There are two things we should always be 1. raw and 2. ready. When you are raw, you are always ready and when you are ready you usually realize that you are raw. Waiting for perfection is not an answer, one cannot say “I will be ready when I am perfect” because then you will never be ready, rather one must say “I am raw and I am ready just like this right now, how and who I am.
With God everything is possible and he always have a reason for everything. Perhaps, there is time for everything. I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. It is by faith, we believe and trust in the unseen things. Faith is an oasis in the heart which can never be reached by the caravan of thinking. What you seeis evidence of what you believe. Believe it and you’ll see it.
We should strive to welcome change and challenges, because they are what help us grow. With out them we grow weak. We need to constantly be challenging ourselves in order to strengthen our character and increase our intelligence.
There is never a moment when God is not in control. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Keep your dreams alive. Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. Well, Life is full of happiness and tears; be strong and have faith.
Nothing else can change anything in this world. Knowledge alone is capable of transforming the world, while at the same time leaving it exactly as it is. When you look at the world with knowledge, you realize that things are unchangeable and at the same time are constantly being transformed.
Sometimes we need to change and even go away from our own place we are used to, So that we can see the place we came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see us differently, too. Coming back to where we started is not the same as never leaving. Change is constant and we are the change we have been waiting for.
We hope to progress in Jesus name for without His guidance we can’t do anything. We trust in our Lord Jesus to give us strength to move on and do His work willingly. I’ve come to believe that in everyone’s life, there’s one undeniable moment of change, a set of circumstances that suddenly alters everything.
Change is constant, is us to adapt to the change around us. Lets all come together and pray for our Parish to continue growing more. Our readiness to work for God will will strengthen us to move.
We thank God for the transformation we have always been receiving in our Parish, we have really grown and we hope to be better than today. May the Lord God bless the priests send in His name. We thank the Guadalupe Fathers for their commitments and hard work towards the transformation in our Parish and the society as a whole.
Sometimes change is all we need. For us to change, we nee to start, start is to move, move is the real change.
