Divine Mercy, Lindi

Our History

This sub-parish started in 1994. It was just a small outstation of Christ the king, by then a sub-parish of St. Michaels Parish Langata; with the name St. Veronica. The early small Christian communities were; St. Athanas, St. Elizabeth and St. Charles Lwanga which later moved to Lainisaba sub-parish. In that time Mass was celebrated on Thursdays evening. Later there was a formation of two more small Christian communities (St. Anthony and St. Catherine) thus making the outstation stronger.

In the year 2003 we started having Sunday Mass since the number of Christians had increased and thus leading to the formation of other parish groups; choir, youth and Sunday school. Catechumens started receiving instructions and also sacraments here.

At present the sub-parish has seven small Christian communities: St. Athanas, St. Elizabeth, St. Anthony, St. Catherine, St. Lawrence, St. Ambrose and St. Faustina. Other groups includes; Choir, youth and PMC.

In the year 2015 the name of this sub-parish changed from St. Veronica to Divine Mercy.

we believe in one God, the Father and the Holy spirit, so should we….
We all belong to the same Father God, despite of our political differences, background, races extra extra,,,,,,we should not let this political crisis separate us from the love of God.
Above all lets spread peace.

Spend time to learn more about the mercy of God, learn to trust in Jesus, and live your life as merciful to others, as Christ is merciful to you. Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins and asking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and upon the whole world.

My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rjoices

My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices

Be merciful. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. He wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us.

Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the graces of His mercy are dependent upon our trust. The more we trust in Jesus, the more we will receive.

Fr. Mark Led the mass at the Divine Mercy Lindi Sub Sarish

The message of The Divine Mercy is simple. It is that God loves us – all of us. And, he wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share His joy.
